Description
So… why Acetyl L-Carnitine?
While L-Carnitine is the primary ingredient in an Acetyl L-Carnitine supplement, which is the important part for fat burning, adding an acetylated ester adds additional benefits.
L-Carnitine use in those who are deficient, results in an increase in CPT levels, which enhances fatty acid substrate use. After being broken down from stored fats, fatty acids are then transported via CPT into the mitochondria of the muscle, which is where fat is burned as energy.
Utilising an Acetyl ester however, enhances the absorption potential of L-Carnitine but even more notable, Acetylated esters act as precursors to the production of Choline in the brain, which is known as a learning transmitter.
In essence, Acetylated esters enhance absorption and improve brain function, while the L-Carntine addition improves the transportation of fatty acids in the body so they can be burned as energy.
